(Almost) Perfect Utility

Love this utility! This should be a built in feature for OS X, or any operating system for that matter! My only complaint keeping me from giving 5 stars is a small one: I wish we had the option to remove the Flycut icon from the menu bar. I use this utility with the hotkeys only, and my menu bar is already so cluttered, it ends up just being another icon to sift through that I never actually use. Please add this simple preference, and youve got yourself the PEREFECT OS X utility. Looking forward to an update and other great software, keep up the great work!

OK this is it!

I tried couple of multiple copy & paste utility and this is the best for me. This does not slows other short-cut keys down. and its interface is good enough. I dont know about images or data files but as a programmer, I think this software developers already knows whats best for the programmers. Thanks you developers!

Good...

Thank you for this. Only wish I could blacklist certain application from being copied from. Love this version of Jumpcut though.

needs improvment

Has potential but needs some more work: 1) DropBox sync, only works if you close one instance and open the other. Cant sync in real time. 2) Allow for setting to change font size etc 3) Allow to save rich text snippets 4) Save multiple clippings into one

Great app!

Works great. makes life so much easier. One suggestion that would make it 5 stars for me is to add the ability to pause monitoring. That is to say so one can only use what is already copied by flycut, and ignore everything else. that way you can have only a few things to paste repeatedly, and not worry about everythings else. keep up the good work!

Best Little Timesaving Tool

Every copied a snippet to the clipboard forgot about it only to overwrite it and slap yourself in the forehead?! Worry no more, This tool by far saves me more time and energy than any other. Helps me quickly organize and develop my code when i need to copy and paste snippets. love this tool!!!!!

Now indespensible

This great little app has quickly become an integral part of my computer experience. Very please, well worth the investment.

Totally essential

Its free. It works. I love it.

By far my favorite clipboard manager

As a software developer I heavily rely on clipboard managers to keep several code snippets at the ready while Im working, and the habit has bled over to my document / email writing behavior as well. Ive switched between several as I find little bugs or behaviors that irritate me or prevent me from using them as fluidly as I would like. Those that Ive used include Clipper, Jumpcut, ClipMenu, and Clyppan. All have fallen short, and most have been unreliable. Ive been using Flycut for about 6 months now and I have yet to have a complaint. One thing to note, it does not behavior exactly the same way as the native clipboard. It only stores plain-text copies (no images), and doesnt retain formatting. For me this is a benefit, I use it regularly to paste content into Word docs and emails to ensure the text formatting complies with the default for the document.

Much better than most

I love it now that I found that holding shift turns on the clipboard history. Funny… how a little reading goeas a long way! Good job guys keep up the good work. If I may make 1 request for a future release…. Is there a way to keep all the history in a window (similar to a python based clipboard manager for linux called gpasteitin) on the desktop? I know it sounds crazy but I have a lot of realestate on my monitors and that feature is a big help for a lazy IT guy like myself. Thanks! :-)

The app that I didnt know I needed until I downloaded it

I downloaded this app because Leo Babauta recommended it and it seemed cool. The crazy thing is that within 10 minutes of installing the app, Id already used it twice. Its the app that I didnt realise I needed, but now I feel like I wont be able to live without it!

Use it everyday

best app in app store!

What I would like to see

I find flycut to be very useful. However when you are dealing with a lot of items at a time having to go through each to find what you are looking for can some times take more time then simply going to the origianal source and copying it again. I suggest a way to orginiaze items better maybe a favorite item style system or even catigories. Something anything would be very useful to help save time. After all that is the point of the program. All in all I use this everyday and will continue using it.

Flycut is good, but lacks essential features found in paid alternatives

Flycut is a good program, and for free at that. After using it for a while I longed for just a few more options. For example, I use a password manager and every time I copy paste a password, it shows up in the Flycut menu - a bit of a security risk! There are a few inexpensive options on the app store that will let you exclude your password manager program. I also found that I wanted to be able to have some "favorite" clips accessible via keyboard which Flycut doesnt do. Beyond the simple limitations, its been a handy stable program and paved the way for me to look into more powerful alternatives.

Best purchase Ive made on the App Store

It just works. I have an obsession with handy utilities for the mac, but this is one of a handful I use on a regular basis. Essential for anyone who manages a website or works with copy a lot.

Perfectly simple, extremely useful

Ive been using Flycut for a few months now, and I have to say that its easily one of the most frequently used utilities on my Mac. Best way to describe how useful this is: when I use a machine that doesnt have it, I miss it immediately. Get it. You need it, even if you dont know it.

Excellent

Like others have said this is better than Jumpcut. Highly recomended!

Love It!

Ive long been a fan of Jumpcut, treasured for its simplicity. So when I got my new iMac I was dismayed that I couldnt use Jumpcut. When a search of the App Store turned up Flycut, I downloaded it immediately. I can even use a scissors icon in the menu bar.

PERFECT app! Missing one feature

Everyday I pull up the app and have to visually search for a string Im looking for, one by one, linineraly. Typically what im looking for is 69 of 100. The missing feature is this: In Terminal.app, I can simply hit contrl+r (Macbook pro) and pull up the (reverse-i-search)`: prompt and cycle through commands the commands, one at a type, by some sort of matching, then I can finally choose a command that way. And make the option for "sticky" cycling. I.e. to then be able to cycle from 1 of 100, to 33 of 100 with the reverse-i-search feature, then search near 33 (say 30-40) with the normal linear left/right keys to find what you are looking for. I would love this feature.

Best Clipboard Manager

Dont wast your time this is the best clipboard manager in the app store, and is very easy to use with hotkeys
